• The ocarina's surface exhibits elaborate designs and rich woodsy coloring caused by the smoke from the fire. An organic lacquer, derived from specific trees, is then used to polish the ocarina. Camphor oil is employed to thin the lacquer. A few individuals have experienced allergic reactions to the Straw Fired ocarinas. • This is Focalink's standard double ocarina in the key of Alto C. There are two separate chambers allowing the player to access 17 chromatic notes from A to high C. The possibility of playing certain chords exists when using both chambers simultaneously.
• All instruments are meticulously tuned for clarity and pitch. A straw firing process is employed to create earth-tone colors throughout, and a lacquer is applied to accentuate the rich colors. Due to this unique handcrafted process, no two ocarinas will appear the same.
